Creativity Published ~ No. 042

Lately, I’ve been thinking about the 80/20 rule. It’s been said as creators we should spend 80% effort creating vs. 20% consuming content. And also, we should be devoting 20% effort to creating new content vs. 80% promoting it.

I want to create good and valuable content which sometimes is an obstacle in and of itself because I put it off and stress about it. As he and I talked, he said something brilliant that really struck me…

Reducing friction around the activity is key. Yes!  ????

That got me thinking about what things cause that friction, which are entirely in my control. How can I reduce the friction and make my process smarter, better, and easier?

I’m certain we have shared this one before, but this is the greatest lead capture and segmentation tool I have ever used — and I’ve tried a lot of them. Lifetime pricing is still available and well worth it.
  • Vidnami
This point and click video maker for those with little to no editing experience. Vidnami automatically combines your text, clips, voice track, and music. No video editing experience needed. Try it for free.
  • Templana
If you are an Asana user, check out Templana’s library of pre-built Asana projects and tasks for all sorts of things (i.e. website launch checklist, SEO checklist, project management, etc.)

Do you really need to think more, or is it simply a matter of doing the work?
