How Content Templates are Actually Ruining Your Content
I have to admit it, I can get a little ranty about templates… of any kind, but specifically content templates.
My love-hate relationship with them is simple.
They’re a great place to start when you’re stuck, but that’s really all they should be used for… a starting point.
Too often templates are used “as is” or tweaked just a smidge and they end up not working or falling flat.
This makes sense considering there’s very little that is unique about them.
Not to mention there are cheesy marketers who use language that makes it sound like ALL you have to do is use their templates and all your problems will be solved.
Here’s how you can effectively use content templates (or better yet, frameworks), to create and promote your content.
