C.S Lewis had it right when he said, “You can make anything by writing.”

Writing is the one skill that will help you in every area of your business.

It’s not necessarily about mastering writing but choosing to focus on the mastery of the skill.

Even if your content medium of choice is video or podcast, becoming a better writer will help you get your message across clearly and succinctly. 

Think about it thtis way, even if those two mediums are all you’re doing, you still to write in order to:

• Create headlines that get people to click
• Write meta descriptions that help people find your content
• Create social media content (micro-content) to share your video or podcast
• Write posts on your site about your podcast or video, (if you’re not doing this just remember that by only putting your content on properties you don’t own, such as YouTube or Apple podcasts, you’re missing out on valuable search engine traffic and valuable lead capture opportunities)

We’ve been pretty transparent about our journey creating ‘The Content Creators Planner.’

Next month it will be two years since we came up with the idea for the planner you use and love (go along with us here). Our journey with the planner always makes us think of Victor Hugo’s quote: “Nothing is more powerful than an idea whose time has come.”

It’s been a bit of a wild ride and we wouldn’t trade it for anything.

Earlier this year we hosted a live stream where we shared our journey of how we went “From a failed Kickstarter to over $40,000 per month, in less than a year.”
