You may be tired of it, but is it new or interesting to your audience?

You may be tired of it, but is it new or interesting to your audience?

I recently joined a couple of groups that required me to introduce myself. I’ve done this a bajillion times and covered all the usual things. But this time I was surprised by what got people’s attention. What stood out to them that made me interesting. Which got me thinking…

While I wanted to talk about the book I am writing and course I am creating, they wanted to hear about the rockstars I have worked with in the past.

Like you, I am focused on what I’m doing now, what I want to do next, and less about what I have already done. Most of what is already done are buried in my blog, my portfolio, my bio/intro if I deemed it worthy. Yet some of this is what makes me stand out, what makes me interesting to people who are meeting me for the first time.

Now let’s apply this same thinking to our existing content. You may be tired of it, but is it new or interesting to your audience?

Happy creating!

Why You Should Practice Failure

We learn valuable lessons when we experience failure and setbacks. Most of us wait for those failures to happen to us, however, instead of seeking them out. But deliberately making mistakes can give us the knowledge we need to more easily overcome obstacles in the future.
